The first mission when Entering Mordor isn’t so much a mission as it is a short set of objectives. Nevertheless, it will still count as completing one of the Main Missions in the game.
These towers serve as waypoints between the lands of Mordor, both for fast travel, passing time, and unlocking missions and collectables on the Map. Once you’ve taken a good look at the part of the Udun that you’ve uncovered, jump off the Forge Tower – and right into a band of Uruks.
Hold down the Left Trigger Button to draw your bow, and hold and release the Right Trigger button to charge and shoot arrows. Drawing the bow will slow down time for a short period, but will require focus – the white bar on the left of the reticule

While you could just look up their locations from the map, it would also be helpful if you could interrogate lower leveled orcs and get some information from them on your target.. To do this, you’ll want to enter wraith form by pressing the L1 button (or LB if you’re on Xbox One)
These are worms, the lowest tier of orcs, which means that they’ll crack easily under pressure. To interrogate, just sneak up on them and press and hold the circle button (B button on Xbox One) when you’re in range

Shadow of War – Interrogate Worms and Kill Captains. Learn how to interrogate Worms and kill Captains in Shadow of War.
They are often very powerful enemies surrounded by their allies. Each one has Strengths and Weaknesses that can avoided or exploited, but you must learn what they are before combat
Worms are marked on your mini map and in the Wraith World as green, diamond shaped icons. They are mixed all throughout the world that you’re in, often surrounded by their allies, or at least near some.

Dive into anything [6]

They die too fast! I’ve tried a bunch of tactics against them, nothing works, they always do not give me intel, i.e never goes to the palm to face, they just die. I am supposed to gain intel from them, as a result, like 90% of my orcs are shadows, I have no idea who they are!
TL;DR You wanna literally grab them with Grab, LCTRL on PC. Well to reveal the captains you don’t need to interrogate worms, you can just interrogate anyone
The easiest way i’ve found is to kill all the other enemies and then grab the worm.. Edit: Interrogating the worm is used to reveal the weaknesses/strengths of the captains.

Shadow of War – How to Interrogate Worms [7]

Worms are an important enemy to take note of in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, as they are Talion’s main means of learning information about Captains, which are strong enemies that you’ll need to take care of. Interrogating Worms can be quite difficult—especially if they’re hiding out in a fortress, surrounded by several other enemies
The first step to successfully interrogating a worm is to find it. Worms are often marked on your mini map, as well as in the Wraith World, as green, diamond-shaped icons that you can clearly see on your map
Once you have spotted a Worm, it’s time to formulate your plan of attack. Your first goal should be to get to higher ground, somewhere near the Worm

Shadow of Mordor PS4 Review: There And Back Again [12]

Monolith Productions invades the open-world arena with its confident and innovative tale of J.R.R. This article first appeared on USgamer, a partner publication of VG247
Original Article (09/26/2014): Normally, this is where you’d be reading my review of Shadow of Mordor. The embargo is up and everyone else’s review is probably out the door
One of the difficult things of reviewing games is knowing when you’ve played enough of a game to make a final call. When you’ve seen enough of the available content to write down words that’ll live on some website forever

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is so big that it’s overwhelming [13]

Middle-earth: Shadow of War, the follow-up to 2014’s Shadow of Mordor, is in many ways a prototypical video game sequel. A vastly larger world, a wider range of weapons and abilities, and more ways to interact with the dark realm of Mordor
But in the quest to add more, the developers at Monolith Productions have diluted the experience. There are still great moments — ones that even surpass the original in some regards — but they’re buried under a mess of quest markers, paint-by-numbers missions, and other unnecessary additions.
There’s the human ranger Talion, who can’t die and is on a never-ending quest for revenge following the death of his family. He’s joined by the elf wraith Celebrimbor, who a) is the one who forged the rings of power in the first place, and b) joins Talion in his quest, lending him his ghostly powers

Tips For Playing Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor [14]

Rangers of Gondor! Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is upon us. The time has come to stand up to Sauron’s evil forces
So here are some useful tips to get your and Talion’s quest started.. One quick note: I’ve focused heavily on the beginning of the game in order to avoid potential spoilers and unnecessary confusion
These end up shifting the challenge of playing Mordor from a question of “Will I ever be able to kill this orc?” to “What is the most ferociously badass way I can kill this orc?” Once you’re at that point, you should be in good shape. Talion might be an immortal powerhouse with a host of supernatural abilities

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor Review [15]

Shadow of Mordor is the best Lord of the Rings game for nearly a decade, though considering the competition, that isn’t really saying much. More importantly, it’s a whole lot better than you might expect
While descriptions of the game as Assassin’s Creed goes to Middle Earth aren’t entirely wide of the mark, they also don’t do the game justice.. In fact, it has as much in common with another Warner Bros
It’s another free-roaming, open-world adventure with the focus on combat and stealth, and while there are elements of Assassin’s Creed in its stealth kills and free-running acrobatics, it’s much less focused on urban spaces or vertical exploration. Meanwhile the hard-hitting, counter-heavy melee combat is closer to the Batman style, down to the slow-mo finishers when you put down the last enemy in a gang

Hands-on with Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor on PS4 [16]

Talion – Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s central character – is a man holding a grudge , not to mention a very large sword. Having had his family murdered by Sauron’s armies, seeking vengeance on those who wronged him is set to become the driving force behind Monolith Games’ forthcoming Lord of the Rings spin-off when it launches on 30th September 2014 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
Here are just a few of the ways we found that Talion can wreak his revenge…. As Talion enters a new area, he can survey the land for Sauron’s armies and check out which of his captains control the various sections of the map
In the thick of battle, Talion can grab a weakened enemy and use his wraith powers to dominate them, turning them to fight alongside the outnumbered ranger. Alternatively, if you want to change tactics half way through a mission, Talion can grab an enemy and interrogate them, extracting vital intelligence about battlefield positions or the strengths and weaknesses of their evil comrades.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor [17]

You’ll start out the game by giving your son some combat training. In reality, however, you’re the one going through the tutorial
That lesson learned, the game will flash forward in time-your training buddies are now Uruks. Perform a Ground Execution (R2 + Square) then sprint (X) and tackle an Uruk near your son (R1, while sprinting)
You can’t die here, so feel free to experiment with your limited move-set.. Once the Uruks are dead, a spectral Talion will investigate the body of a woman, then you’ll endure another flashback, where the dead woman is quite alive

Review: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor [18]

Developing a licensed game can be extremely difficult. Not only does Monolith Productions have the Lord of the Rings film series to honor with Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, but the developer also has to work in many aspects of Tolkien’s other works to weave together a story that calls from multiple sources.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (PC, PS3, PS4 [reviewed], Xbox 360, Xbox One). Released: September 30, 2014 (PC, PS4, Xbox One) / November 18, 2014 (PS3, Xbox 360)
Simply put, the game takes place between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, pre-supposing that Bilbo has already located the One Ring, but before it is entrusted to Frodo. Thus, Shadow is a side story of sorts, giving you minor insight into the creation of the ring while focusing on the tale of one particular human — a skilled ranger named Talion.

‘Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor’ Review: First Impressions [19]

This is an ongoing multi-part review of Monolith’s ‘Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.’ You can read Part Two here.. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will not escape comparisons to Assassin’s Creed
Even some of your wraith powers are reminiscent of the Assassin’s Creed games.. Shadow of Mordor is, in many ways, the Assassin’s Creed game I always wanted to play
There’s a deep leveling and upgrade system as you gain experience and power, including an impressive skill tree, rune-upgrades for Talion’s weapons, and a basic array of stat upgrades such as health and focus (your Ranger ability to go into bullet-time with a bow, basically.). Meanwhile, the missions are sprinkled about an open map very similar to an Assassin’s Creed game or an Arkham title, but I feel much more connected to the Orc/Uruk Captains I’m meant to hunt down than I ever feel to a target in Assassin’s Creed

wow… already feel like giving up (stupid glitch, ps4) [20]

ifistbrowni
PS4 Version: I’ve been playing all day. I completed the prologue without a trophy and thought, “hmmm, that’s weird” because trophies are usually handed out after completing stuff like that
I finished forging the towers, collectables and the side missions that were available in area one. Now, I go to move onto the story missions and I don’t have any on the map
After slaughtering captains I still don’t have any missions appearing. So, now I go and check the trophy guide and see the “You will Obey” trophy should be unlocked at the beginning of the game
