How To Start Back 4 Blood DLC – Tunnels Of Terror [1]

The new Back 4 Blood expansion is here, but you may be left scratching your head when trying to find it in-game. The first major Back 4 Blood expansion, Tunnels of Terror, has arrived
But none of that can happen if you don’t know how to access the Ridden Hives DLC. In this quick guide, we’ll explain how to play the Back 4 Blood DLC, and as you’ll see, it’s a bit more confusing than you’d expect.
The Ridden Hives DLC is included in the game’s Ultimate and Deluxe editions of the game or can be purchased for $15. Once you’ve gotten past the paywall, you’ll maybe still have a hard time getting to the DLC.

Back 4 Blood’s First Expansion, Tunnels of Terror, Available Today [2]

– Two playable new Cleaners, Sharice and Heng, join the fight against the Ridden.. – New co-op activity, Ridden Hives, is available for players to fight new Warped Ridden in the depths of Evansburgh.
It’s been a wild seven months since Back 4 Blood launched, and we’re so excited for today’s release of Tunnels of Terror, the game’s first downloadable content (DLC) expansion. New Cleaners, new Ridden, new unlockable skins, new cards, a new difficulty setting – this doesn’t even touch on all the features that are being rolled out, but let’s get into it a little bit, shall we?
Do be warned, though, by venturing into these dark and strange tunnel-like formations beneath Evansburgh, you’ll face new Warped Ridden with never before seen attacks that definitely aren’t for the weak of heart. After all, if you think the Crusher has issues with personal space, I have news to tell you about the Shredder that will give you a better understanding of why Holly hates free hugs.

Back 4 Blood’s first expansion is out and there’s a free new difficulty mode [3]

Back 4 Blood’s first expansion is out and there’s a free new difficulty mode. Back 4 Blood has received its first paid expansion since release
It also arrives alongside a free update which makes umpteen balance changes, adds a new difficulty mode called No Hope – sounds fun – and introduces “unofficial” support for the Steam Deck.. Tunnels Of Terror takes place in underground caves infested by monsters, where the walls appear frequently to be made entirely out of flesh
There are two new Cleaners, the game’s playable characters, available on the journey: former firefighter Sharice, who has defensive buffs; and Heng, who can sense nearby hive entrances and gear through walls.. As the name suggests, No Hope is a new extra hard difficulty level for those who have otherwise conquered what the game has to offer

BACK 4 BLOOD: TUNNELS OF TERROR DLC Review: A Good Start — GameTyrant [4]

Turtle Rock Studios made headlines last year with its release of the highly anticipated zombie title, Back 4 Blood. The Left 4 Dead spiritual successor arrived with a mostly positive reception from old fans and newcomers alike
With promises of a new way to play the game, new cards, and new playable cleaners, this DLC drop is sounding like a solid start for B4B fans. The Tunnels of Terror DLC grants players access to engage in Ridden Hives that are randomly scattered throughout the original campaign of B4B
Once all players decide to enter the Hive, the current level immediately ends and the game begins to load the Hive tunnel.. The Hive tunnels are, you guessed it, underground tunnels that are usually interconnected and house tons of Ridden and mutated Ridden alike

Back 4 Blood: Tunnels of Terror Expansion – Everything You Need to Know [6]

Back 4 Blood players can look forward to a brand new expansion pack arriving in the co-op shooter this week. Tunnels of Terror is the first major paid expansion pack that brings with it a bunch of new content
First off, it is important to note that all playable content in Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror is available for everyone as long as they are playing in a group with one person that owns the expansion. However, players who don’t own the expansion will only be able to play the levels and not unlock the new cosmetic content in the game

How to Access Back 4 Blood DLC Tunnels of Terror [7]

Like its spiritual predecessor Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood offers players some brand new levels and content to keep the fight against the Ridden going. Tunnels of Terror, the first DLC expansion, adds in seven Ridden Hives for players to navigate through in the search of some Legendary weapons.
This DLC is accompanied by a large April update, adding in new Player Cards, Legendary weapons and attachments, new achievements, and a brand new difficulty level – No Hope.. So, if you think you’re brave enough to test your mettle in this new DLC you might be wondering how to access it.
Knowing how to access DLC in any game can often be confusing, and the same might be true for Back 4 Blood. Players who purchased the Ultimate and Deluxe editions of the game will have the DLC included at no extra costs

Back 4 Blood: Tunnels of Terror Review [9]

There were some mixed reviews of Back 4 Blood when it was released last fall. Many appreciated that it felt like the spiritual sequel to the Left 4 Dead series, but there were some complaints about mainly a flawed single-player portion as well as the system of playing cards that allow us to customise our adventure.
And what I’ve concluded is that there’s no good answer to that question. Because Tunnels of Terror doesn’t really do anything to fix what people were complaining about, instead continuing in the same footsteps, and it also has one of the least conventional DLC implementations I’ve ever seen.
On the contrary, those who loved Back 4 Blood get more of the fun, and the tunnels that await undeniably bestow a lot of extra variety. The seven tunnels in particular are the real draw here

Back 4 Blood: Tunnels of Terror Review: Dive Into the Ridden Hive [10]

Back 4 Blood‘s first expansion is now available, and playable to any group as long as one person owns it, which adds some much-needed new content to the cooperative zombie shooter. However, unlike how Left 4 Dead was supported with fully new campaigns to go through, Tunnels of Terror takes a much different approach by adding more variety to the base game
The big addition is the titular tunnels of terror, which are tunnels that randomly can be found during regular levels that go into the Ridden Hives. You might be wondering why you’d want to go into a tunnel filled with Ridden and that’s a very valid question
Due to the game restricting the number of retries, there is an interesting risk-reward mechanic on whether you want to even engage with these new levels.. If you do go into the tunnels, you’ll find a pretty samey-looking labyrinth that looks disgusting but is perfectly suited for these killing mutations

Back 4 Blood: Tunnels of Terror review — Bloody useless [13]

I reviewed Back 4 Blood on the Series X but decided to review Tunnels of Terror on PC to avoid the console version’s poor aim assist. That meant playing on a version with hardly anything unlocked
Besides new characters and Ridden, Tunnels of Terror doesn’t give new players content worth engaging with, and it’s practically pointless for veterans. Each piece of content is individually exciting but mostly a waste of time as a package.
These are challenging, labyrinthine mini-dungeons randomly sprinkled throughout each campaign act. While working your way through to any of the multiple exits that bring your deeper or take you to the next level, you’re fighting off constant hordes of Ridden — all modified by Nightmare difficulty level Corruption cards — while searching for Skull Totems, and collecting powerful weapons from Warped chests that also deal 20 trauma damage when you open them

Back 4 Blood’s first expansion is nearly here and it looks messy [14]

Back 4 Blood’s first expansion, Tunnels of Terror, is nearly upon us — it will be released on April 12 — and developer Turtle Rock Studios has given players a look at its new features in a launch trailer.. The Tunnels of Terror DLC for the co-op shooter will introduce seven Ridden Hives to the game
The Hives will also introduce three new monster types, known as Warped Ridden. Urchins set landmines, Rippers deal damage with their huge, deformed arms, and Shredders are just quite big and scary.
The DLC also bundles up seven new legendary weapons, eight character skins, 12 weapon skins, and more. The new Warped Ridden and Cleaners will be playable in PvP modes, and all playable Tunnels of Terror content will be accessible to all players in a party as long as one party member has bought the expansion.

I have seen some annoyance online that these new areas must be accessed from within the current mission layout, but I think it’s a brilliant move. There are a lot of levels in Back 4 Blood, which means matchmaking is already stretched thin at times
