You can delete rests in voice 2-4 by selecting them and pressing Del.. Voice 1 rests though cannot get deleted, you can’t remove silence except by replacing them with noise

Without seeing your score it is difficult to tell what your problem is.. Normally there would be no extra rests, just exactly as many as needed to make sure each measure has the correct number of beats
1) entered notes into a voice other than 1 when you could have simply used voice 1, and the voice 1 rest indeed correctly continues to show, because that’s normally the whole reason for not using voice 1 in the first place. 2) used the “insert” mode to add notes to your score, which by design adds notes to a measure without deleting what was there already, thus leaving you with more beats than the time signature calls for

I wish I could delete the last two rests on the last line of the verse, but for some reason unless I am doing it wrong those rests do not delete. Before I posted this I tried a half note with a dot and yes it took care of the 2 rests but with the rest starting at the chorus it still drug out to long
The time signature is 3/4 so 3 beats per measure…if I had a way to add that last D with the other notes before it then I could eliminate that very last measure but not sure how I could give that measure before it 4 notes instead of 3. What do you want to do, exactly? Have 3 beats in a 4/4 measure? That’s not deleting rests, usually I’d call it creating a pickup measure, but this is at the end of a piece. Right click measure, go to measure properties, edit the number of beats.

Multimeasure rest indicates rest of more than 3 bars. There are two ways of adding multimeasure rests on Flat, depending on if you are working on a score that has several parts, or a single part.

So far I’ve learned that I can select any rest and press ctrl and a number to get a tuplet with that number of notes in it – the rest selected is then split into that number of appropriate-duration notes. Also – you can hold down the shift key and the arrow keys to select any range of notes/staves and press s to place a slur over them
