Its the default world cleanup settings which are garbage on single player, go into alt-F10 admin menu, select trash removal submenu and change the settings, it’s per save, there is no global setting for it.. I agree with Roxette, this is usually caused by trash removal, which by default deletes unpowered grids if they are too far from a player.
