On Thursday, Michelle Yeoh, the pioneering Asian actress who achieved the distinction of becoming the first Asian woman who won an Oscar for Best Actress in 2022, tied the knot with her long-time fiance Jean Todt in Switzerland. 

The couple’s intimate wedding was graced by the presence of close family and friends, including a Brazilian racing driver Felipe Massa, who shared an invitation card for the event on social media. Michelle Yeoh, known for her early film career in Hong Kong, celebrated this special moment surrounded by loved ones.

Michelle was born in Malaysia and is 60 years old, exchanging vows with Jean Todt, a 77-year-old Frenchman. Jean Todt has a background as a former motor-racing executive and ex-rally co-driver. Additionally, he held the position of CEO at Ferrari in the past. 

The couple shared a heartwarming anecdote, revealing that they had a whirlwind romance. Less than two months after meeting for the first time on June 4, 2004, in Shanghai, Jean Todt proposed to Yeoh on July 26 of the same year. To their delight, she gladly accepted his proposal, solidifying their love and commitment to each other.
