This is when he reveals that it is in the cupboard, in the bottom drawer, in the house. However, after revealing all this, he gets knocked off, and Makoto Kaneshiro says that he was planning to get rid of his eventually and finds out that the sword that he was using is actually poisonous.
This makes him wonder how a skilled swordsman was using a poisonous sword and wonders who that guy was. At the same time, he recalls that the owner addressed him by the name “Dan,” and Makoto Kaneshiro wonders if he really is that guy who he already knew.
To get things clear, he believes if he wears that mask on his face, he will change. As expected, when he wears that sword, he finds out that his appearance gets changed. This also makes him wonder if he even has that appearance-altering mast artifact.

This also confirms that the guy that is now dead was Bloody Dan. He is the same guy who started the war back in the game. Along with that, he also says that later in the game, he would be hired to kidnap the Northern Barbarian Chief’s Child, triggering a major war between the North and the Empire.
In addition to that, Makoto Kaneshiro also says that originally, the war would have spread throughout the whole continent, and he would have been dragged into it, and now he believes that he has unexpectedly prevented it.
